Lions Gate gets rights to Love Song
Lions Gate Films has acquired North American distribution rights to the Scarlett Johansson/John Travolta starrer A Love Song for Bobby Long. They plan a platform release for the film, starting it in limited locations on December 29th, the rolling out wider in January of 2005. The film was written and directed by Shainee Gabel and tells the story of a teenaged girl who returns to her New Orleans childhood home after her mother passes away. She finds it occupied by two men who have absolutely no intention of leaving.
