Chase goes for a Zoom

Chevy Chase has joined the cast of Revolution Studios' Zoom, where he'll costar with Tim Allen and Courteney Cox. Directed by Pete Hewitt, the movie is based on the kids' graphic novel Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted and tells the story of an out-of-shape superhero (Allen) who is called back into action so that he can train a motley group of kids to become a new generation of superheroes.

Cox gets ready to Zoom

Courteney Cox has signed on for the female lead role in Revolution Studios' Zoom, where she'll star alongside Tim Allen. Pete Hewitt is directing the kid's film, which is based on the Jason Lethcoe graphic novel Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted. Allen will play Jack, aka Zoom, a former superhero who is now out of shape and in loss of his powers. He reluctantly returns to action as he is asked to teach a rag-tag group of kids about how to save the world from destruction. Allen wrote the screenplay with Adam Rifkin, David Berenbaum and Matt Carroll.

Hewitt going to Zoom's Academy

Pete Hewitt (Garfield: The Movie) has signed on to direct Zoom's Academy, a film based on a young adult comic book by Jason Lethcoe, for Revolution Studios. The movie centers around a girl named Summer Jones who is geeky at her high school, but that all changes when she is taken away to superhero school by her father. Tim Allen is already onboard to star. The screenplay was written by Adam Rifkin and rewritten by Jordan Roberts.
