Cuthbert stars in Dot

Elisha Cuthbert (The Girl Next Door) is set to star in and co-produce the indie thriller Dot for director Jamie Babbit. This film is the first project for Burnt Orange, a production unit owned by the University of Texas. The idea behind Burnt Orange is to produce features while allowing University of Texas students the chance to work alongside professionals. Cuthbert will star as a popular, beautiful girl in a normal, middle-class family. She seems to have everything, but when a supposedly deaf, orphaned teen comes to live with her family, she learns that things are not what they have always seemed to be.
