Armstrong joins Lucky Lohan

Samaire Armstrong, who is perhaps best known for a recurring role on The O.C., has been cast in the Untitled Lindsay Lohan Lucky Project. Donald Petrie is directing the film, which centers on the luckiest girl in the world. When she meets a hapless man, their luck switches places. Armstrong will play Lohan's best friend, a struggling songwriter.

Pine gets Lucky with Lohan

Chris Pine has signed to co-star with Lindsay Lohan in the untitled "Lindsay Lohan Lucky Project." Previously known as Lady Luck, the film is being directed by How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days helmer Donald Petrie from a screenplay by I. Marlene King. The 20th Century Fox comedy centers on the luckiest girl in the world, who finds her luck being swapped when she comes into contact with a perennial loser.

Lohan is Luck-y

Emerging young starlet Lindsay Lohan is in final talks to receive a paycheck in excess of $7 million for the starring role in the New Regency/20th Century Fox production Lady Luck. Lohan will portray the Luckiest Girl in the World, whose fate changes when she has a chance encounter with a big-time loser. In an Elaine Benes/George Costanza-style switch, she finds herself burdened with his bad luck, while the loser is bestowed with her good fortune. The movie is being directed by Donald Petrie (How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days), with a screenplay originally written by Jonathan Bernstein, James Greer and Mark Blackwell. I. Marlene King did a rewrite.
