Hutton goes for Holiday
Timothy Hutton has signed to star in Last Holiday, which already has cast members including Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Gerard Depardieu and Giancarlo Esposito. Hutton will portray Kragen, the villain in the film. Wayne Wang is directing the movie, which started production last month in New Orleans. The film is a remake of the 1950 comedy that starred Alec Guiness, whose role will be taken by Queen Latifah. She will portray a shy sales clerk who takes off for a European holiday when she learns she has a terminal illness.

Depardieu and Esposito go for a Holiday
Gerard Depardieu and Giancarlo Esposito have signed on for Paramount Pictures' Last Holiday. Queen Latifah, Alica Witt and LL Cool J are already set to star. The film is a remake of a British comedy that starred Alec Guiness as a clerk who discovers he has only a limited time to live, and goes for the vacation of a lifetime. The remake will twist the story so that Latifah is in the Guiness role. Wayne Wang is directing.

LL Cool J takes a Holiday
LL Cool J has signed on to star opposite Queen Latifah in the remake of the 1950 comedy Last Holiday. The Paramount re-imagining of the Alec Guinness film will feature Latifah as a shy sales clerk who heads off to Europe for a vacation after learning she has a terminal illness. Wayne Wang is directing the film.
