David Letterman to produce Strangers With Candy

David Letterman and his production arm Worldwide Pants have come aboard as producers of the Amy Sedaris film Strangers With Candy: The Movie. The film is based on the Comedy Central series by the same name and will have Sedaris, Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello reprising the roles they created in the show. This project will mark Letterman/Worldwide Pants' first foray into feature films. Letterman noted in Variety that he elected to get involved with the project because "Amy Sedaris is one of a handful of folks who actually make me laugh.
