Self to write Deathlok
David Self, who previously worked on scripts for films like Road to Perdition and Thirteen Days, has been hired to rewrite Deathlok for Marvel Studios and Paramount. The first draft of the film was written by Stu Zicherman and Raven Metzner. It follows a suburban family guy who agrees to be a test subject for a technology research lab. In the process, he is transformed into a living computer. The studio is currently looking for a director, with Paul McGuigan (Wicker Park) being mentioned as a possibility. Lee Tamahori left the project recently.
