If you have kids, you may already know about these computer-generated characters. This is the first theatrical release of the popular direct-to-video series starring talking Christian vegetables. You heard me! I said, "talking Christian vegetables". The cast includes Laura Carrot, Archibald Asparagus, Bob the Tomato, and Larry the Cucumber, among others.

The characters act out stories from the Bible and teach a lesson along the way. They are an attempt to get kids interested in church activities and teachings. The well-received videos have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide in their seven-year history.

This first theatrical outing is a re-enactment of the Biblical tale of Jonah and the Whale. The story is about a vegetable that knows what God wants him to do, but he does the exact opposite. As punishment, God allows him to be swallowed by a whale. The film includes lots of fun music and, more importantly, a lesson about second chances. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
