He actually looks sort of untrainable.

Position Staff In Brief
1/123 David Mumpower Encapsulates everything that is special about pet ownership. Between this and Lilo & Stitch, Chris Sanders has proven himself to be a splendid storyteller.
56/190 Max Braden I appreciated the well-told story and the great effects, but Gerard Butler's voice distracted in every scene he was in.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has a lot to deal with in life. Of course, there is the awful name he has worn like an albatross since birth (albatross presumably given serious consideration as his first name). Born the son of a village chieftain, Hiccup has more expected of him than others due to his heritage. He joins his classmates on a journey to prove that he is ready to become a man. The first task to prove such maturation is simple. Hiccup must capture then train a dragon. Easy peasy, right?

NO! Of course it’s not easy to capture and train a dragon. They weigh several tons and breathe fire. How is a kid whose birth name includes the word 'Horrendous' possibly going to be able to accomplish such a feat? Even worse, if he is not up to the test of The Dragon Initiation Programme, he will be exiled from his home in the village of Hooligan. Though his quest may seem impossible, Hiccup joins his fellow Hooligans as they all set out to prove their maturation. To his surprise, the son of the village’s leader is assigned the task of leading his classmates as they head out to Wild Dragon Cliff.

Will Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III manage to prove himself worthy of his bloodlines? Since this is a popular children’s novel and now a DreamWorks Animation movie, odds are probably pretty good. (David Mumpower/BOP)
