Riding the trend of successful documentaries is Walt Disney Pictures, which will handle distribution of this patriotic film that will be released just in time for Independence Day.

Director Louis Schwartzberg, who has worked as second/additional cinematographer on movies such as Koyaamosqatsi, Stuart Little 2, Men in Black II and Erin Brockovich, took his camera in hand and hit the road. His goal was to capture the beauty of the American land and to illustrate the strength and character of its people.

The film follows a number of ordinary Americans who just happen to have fantastic stories to tell. The director gets deeply in touch with his subjects, displaying their beliefs, dreams and enthusiasm as he reveals their tales. The film will focus on the individualistic nature of Americans, showing how each person is special and unique. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
