2004 BOP Reader Awards Results:
Best TV Show
With eerie synchronicity, readers voted all of the BOP staff's favorite shows into the top 15. BOP readers recognized the darling of the ABC primetime schedule, Lost, awarding it the top spot in the best TV show category. Lost beat runner up 24 by a 15% margin. Arrested Development, Desperate Housewives, and The Simpsons finished a tier behind the top two, and on the next rung down were Scrubs and Alias. The Amazing Race was the highest scoring reality show, finishing 11th. Just missing the cut was the show that gave the world Clay Aiken, American Idol.
Incidentally, from a network perspective, Fox simply dominated the results, placing five shows in the top ten.
