It’s about time someone made a film about soccer hooligans. Of course, casting Elijah Wood in a movie about soccer hooligans is like casting Nathan Lane to play Frodo. Nonetheless, Wood will star in Hooligans in which he will play an former Ivy League scholar who moves to England after he is wrongfully expelled. Starring along Wood will be Claire Forlani whose left a mark on such memorable films as The Medallion and...something else. Production is set to start in London this weekend. SAURON RULES!!!

Remember when I was in American Pie and American Beauty? Yeah, that was a good two months If you thought Queen Latifah’s appearance in Barbershop 2 was a cheap attempt at generating extra cash at the box office, you were wrong. Well, you weren’t wrong but you didn’t have the whole story right. MGM is moving ahead with a spinoff from the Barbershop franchise and named is Beauty Shop. Latifah will obviously star and will be joined by Djimon Honsou, Alicia Silverstone and Mena Suvari. This movie has broken new ground in spinoffs; they should call it spinWAYoff.
Mel Brooks’ The Producers, the biggest Broadway hit in ages, is coming to the big screen…again. The movie will feature most of the original Broadway cast with some interesting new additions. Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick will reprise their roles as Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom while Nicole Kidman joins the cast as Ulla. Will Ferrell, the comedic actor of the moment, is in negotiations to play Franz Liebkind. We give Kidman two months before she drops out of the project and once again recommends Naomi Watts for the role. Oh my…are those her…? It’s like she’s hiding corks from a couple of wine bottles
