Jimmy Page is one of the most influential guitarists in the history of rock n' roll, but it was his charity work that brought him to the attention of the British Crown. Yesterday, Page received the Order of the British Empire (OBE) from Queen Elizabeth herself for his years of working helping Brazilian street children in the shantytowns of Rio de Janeiro. After seeing first-hand where the children lived, Page joined up with Task Brazil, a British charity, and established a safe house for street children over ten years ago. The safe house has offered food, medical care, job training, and psychological counseling for more than 300 children over the years. After receiving the award, the Led Zepplin guitarist and former member of the Yardbirds was joined by Prince Harry in a ceremonial trashing of Page's hotel room. Suck it, Clapton!

Dan Krovich prepares for his role in the Smurfs movie. Television fans everywhere, you have one more holiday card (apologies, Bill O'Reilly) to send. Rumors are flying across the Internets that execs at Showtime are interested in picking up Arrested Development, the recently canceled Fox Television show. Those infamous "sources" are quick to explain that the talks are still in the "very early and exploratory phase" because Showtime would have to stake considerable finances on the deal due to its large ensemble cast. Neither Fox nor Showtime has commented on the rumors, but we at Box Office Prophets will be following this story very -- VERY -- closely. Keep hope alive!
If you're planning on vacationing in Hawaii soon, you may want to wait until Lost wraps up filming for the season. Or, if you do go, just don't drive. Or walk anywhere. Just stay on the beach as far away from any vehicular traffic as possible. Michelle Rodriguez, who plays ultra-butch police officer Ana Lucia, was fined over $350 for speeding on Tuesday -- her third speeding conviction in five months. Let's count them, shall we? Rodriguez was first fined for doing 80 mph in a 50 mph zone last August. Then, she was ticketed for racing through a 35 mph zone at 90 (!) mph. Her latest offense came in November, when she was stopped for driving a relatively sedate 83 mph on a 55 mph highway. So far, she's paid just under $900 in speeding-related fines. Couple her lead-foot with another traffic-related offense and a recent drunk-driving arrest, and we're left with only one thing to say: Ms. Rodriguez, please hire a driver. We like you far too much on the show to see you go to jail. The newest driver to join the Rahal Letterman Racing Team.

"I mean, Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes that every one liked. They left that to the Bee Gees."
Previous edition's quote: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
