The spirit of BOP News lives on in
This is So Last Week,
our pop culture week-in-review,
presented in a pleasing quiz form.

Leave it up to Hollywood to make a sequel before the original is made. Here's how the math works: The Eye, a chilling and scary film by Danny and Oxide Pang, was picked up for development by Paramount, possibly to be produced by Tom Cruise and Laura Wagner. Back in Hong Kong, way after The Eye played to critical raves at the Toronto International Film Festival, a sequel was released called The Eye 2. Over two years after the remake rights for The Eye were picked up and put into development, The Eye 2 has now been picked up and will be produced under the name In-Utero. You'd think that a sequel to The Eye would be called The Eyes but then again, Tom Cruise is involved so we're lucky we're not getting {the following has been edited by Tom Cruise's Lawyers}. Oh great martian, take me away

Peter Jackson, left King Kong comes in about six weeks and Peter Jackson has decided to dump the music from the movie. Well, he'll actually be replacing Howard Shore's score with a new one by James Newton Howard. Howard Shore previously worked with Jackson on the Lord of the Rings trilogy for which he created a magnificent, unforgettable score. While such shuffles are not exactly an aberration, having them so close to release time is. Still, it's not too late to replace the dinosaurs.
The following news item requires no punch line. They're making a Rocky 6. With Sylvester Stallone. Fighting in the ring. Seriously. Now, there are so many ways this can go wrong, other than it actually being released. Firstly, people who saw the much underappreciated reality show The Contender, witnessed first-hand a Sly that almost had that lethal stroke/hernia/heart attach combo after sparring in the ring for 28 seconds. Secondly, the last man that Rocky faced in the ring, actually a street fight for those of you who saw Rocky 5, ended up contracting HIV in real life. No that starring in Rocky movies gives you HIV, just that if you don't get it, your career likely will. Speaking of which, Light Heavyweight Champion Antonio Tarver will reportedly star opposite Sly. This ends months of speculation that Abe Vigoda was ready to step back in to the ring. Phyllis Diller, right

"I must break you."
