This is So Last Week,
our pop culture week-in-review,
presented in a pleasing quiz form.

Robin Williams is set to step back into the spotlight as he has signed on to star in a sequel to the surprise 1993 hit Mrs. Doubtfire. In the record setting film, Williams played a man going through a divorce who disguises himself as a British nanny in order to stay closer to his kids. The film co-starred Sally Field and Pierce Brosnan and was directed by Chris Columbus. The original grossed over $200 million domestically and was just as big a hit on video. The good news here is that Bonnie Hunt, the scribe behind the excellent and severely underrated Return to Me, is in negotiations to write the sequel. Insiders tell BOP that the make up used to turn Williams into the British nanny will now require less “booby padding”. Just another hot chick

If he's wearing boots, shouldn't he be wearing pants? Puss in Boots, the fuzzy pussy from this past summer’s Shrek 2, will be featured in his very own film though it might end up being a direct-to-video release. Antonia Banderas will lend his voice to the dastardly cat once again. We shall spend no more ink on this story.
The fifth Harry Potter film will be directed by someone you’ve never heard of. British director David Yates has been tapped to direct the fifth film in the series even as the fourth film is still in production. Yates is a critically acclaimed director of various television productions in Britain and will direct from a script by David Heyman. The fifth installment of the Potter franchise is actually the most currently released of the books with the sixth novel having an estimated release date of sometime next year. The fifth film is scheduled to hit theatres in Summer of 2007. The producers would not confirm if the fifth film will be called Fast Times at Hogarts High. Why won't this kid grow up?
