Revolution Studios has acquired rights to remake John Carpenter’s The Fog. The 1980 horror film told the story of a fog that blankets parts of Northern California and brings along a lot of scary spirits. Carpenter has directed such films as Halloween, Escape from New York and Big Trouble in Little China. He will co-produce the project which is being scripted by Cooper Layne. No director is attached yet but in a strange twist, Revolution is allegedly looking for an unknown Japanese director to copy the original almost frame by frame. Carpenter came up with the idea for The Fog while using a crappy camera lens

Even Anakin laughs at Star Wars nerds If you were one of the people who were beginning to think that the internet is slowly becoming less nerdy, you were wrong. Seven months before the release of Star War Episode III, and some five days after the first-ever viewing of a rough cut of the film, story spoilers have hit the Net, proving once again that the story in the Star Wars prequels takes a backseat to the eye candy. Star Wars nerds everywhere have clamored to the different sites looking for answers to questions such as, “Does Yoda use his lightsaber again?”, “What is the color of Anakin Skywalker’s Lightsaber?”, and “Will I ever get a life?”
A recent poll by British publication Top Film Magazine has named George W. Bush top film villain of the past year. The dubious award was given to Bush for his “appearance” in Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11. Bush beat out such characters as Spider-Man 2’s Doctor Octopus, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and Gollum from The Return of the King. Bush’s response? “Like I care what people in Asia think.” You tell that to Tony Blair and the Australian guy and the...Polandian President
Well, it might explain why the costume is all ripped up Queen Latifah has revealed that she was originally approached to star in Monster’s Ball, a role that ultimately went to Halle Berry and won Berry an Academy Award. Latifah revealed that the production would have originally included her, Sean Penn and Robert De Niro. Latifah proved less forthcoming when asked if she would have done the graphic sex scenes in the film and only hinted that she would have done it (of course, no one is asking De Niro if he would have gone through with it….anyway). Latifah took a shot at fellow actress Berry, who was the first-ever black woman to win a Best Actress Oscar, by saying that the role provided whichever actress who took it a guaranteed Oscar win. Latifah is currently finishing up publicity for her latest movie Taxi, which basically gives you an idea why she’s lashing out at another actress. The good news here is that the world has been spared seeing Latifah squeeze into the Catwoman outfit.
