Hollywood's latest hot trend, aside from dabbling in politics and greenlighting sequels and spin-offs before the primary project reaches audiences, seems to be ballyhooing sex scenes. First Meg Ryan's people were bending the ear of every media outlet that would listen about her steamy sex scenes in her upcoming film In the Cut, and now Ewan McGregor is getting into the act by telling all and sundry about his "realistic" lovemaking in his latest, Young Adam. According to McGregor, they were trying to make scenes that were more like sexual intercourse in the "real world", and the scenes were often "messy or quick, or clumsy and dirty and disgusting." Or basically, your average 16 year old boy’s experience. But..but...but...but...i thought you'd like that





Beckinsale rhymes with Begging Sale, which is exactly what we're prepared to do Back to the proverbial cart-before-the-horse pastime, a sequel to Underworld, which posits a centuries-old war between werewolves and vampires, is reportedly already in the works. Screen Gems was apparently so impressed by the audience reaction to a screening in Toronto that it has given the go-ahead for a follow-up, expecting the film to take the number-one position at the box office when it is released this weekend. Rumors that the sequel will have the werewolves and vampires teaming up to fight the even more reprehensible evil of studio accountants could not be confirmed at press time.
Cameron Diaz is currently attached to star in WASPS, a World War II drama about the first female pilots recruited by the military in 1942. The film will reportedly focus on the training program for the pilots, with Mimi Rogers in line to play the woman who started the program. Rumor has it that Demi Moore will not be considered for any role in the project. Upon a second look, her nose could handle some work
Law & Order hasn't been any good since he left Benjamin Bratt has been inked to play Halle Berry's love interest in Catwoman, which will follow the exploits of Patience Price, a veterinary scientist who fights the husband-and-wife criminal team who run the cosmetics company for which she works. Price takes on the alter-ego of Catwoman in order to foil their evil schemes. Bratt reportedly first piques Catwoman's interest with a fetching bouquet of tuna and Meow Mix.
Guy Pearce is set to star in the upcoming Australian film The Proposition, described as a "kangaroo Western" set during Australia's bushranger era. The film is described as being very violent, very moving and funny. Funny? We thought they cast Guy Pearce. Ha freaking ha
