Bruce Feirstein, writer of the James Bond blockbusters Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies, has been tapped to write a big-screen adaptation of the '80s television hit The A-Team. Airing from ’83 to ’87, The A-Team was a monstrous hit with a huge fan following. The tongue-in-cheek show featured a group of four Vietnam vets who were convicted by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. The team goes fugitive and begins to help out common folk while being chased by the Army. The feature film being produced will bring the team into a more contemporary setting and will be more serious in tone than the television show. I pity the fool that sees this movie. Solid

Penn, doing his best imitation of Rene Zellweger While it is reasonable to expect Team America: World Police creators Matt Parker and Trey Stone to receive a lot of criticism from supporters of President George W. Bush, they have now drawn criticism from a much different, and polar opposite, source. The pair recently mocked Sean “P.Diddy”/”Puff Daddy”/”Talentless Hack” Combs’ Vote or Die campaign to increase awareness for voting, with Stone commenting to Rolling Stone that “If you don't know what you're talking about, there's no shame in not voting." This prompted Sean Penn, who is decidedly anti-Bush, to write the pair a letter, part of which read “You guys are talented young guys, but alas, primarily young guys. It's all well to joke about me or whomever you choose. Not so well to encourage irresponsibility that will ultimately lead to the disembowelment, mutilation, exploitation and death of innocent people around the world.” P. Diddy’s alleged response was to write a letter to Penn stating “Yeah, boyeeeee!”
Yankee Irving, the CGI film that the late Christopher Reeve was directing, will continue to move ahead according to IDT, the company producing the film. Reeve was early in production for the film, which is still set for a 2006 release. At the time of his death, Reeve had been overseeing storyboards and character designs for the film, which featured a story about a father and his baseball-playing son who has to overcome obstacles to realize his dreams. No announcement was made with regards to Reeve’s replacement. RIP
