The spirit of BOP News lives on in
This is So Last Week,
our pop culture week-in-review,
presented in a pleasing quiz form.

The highly anticipated teaser trailer for next year’s Batman Begins debuted on the net last night, and it was released hand in hand with a new image of the Bat himself. The trailer can be found here while the picture is attached. This bit of news is too sad for a punch line. We're still thankful that Joel Schumacher is nowhere near this project.

A female?! HIDE! Loews Cineplex is taking movie-going to the next level. The theatre chain has partnered with Internet dating site Lavalife to create a very unique experience for single movie fans across America. The two companies will be putting together singles movie nights across different cities starting in August. The two companies announced that with the purchase of a ticket, the theatre will include a cocktail party and a set of ice-breaking games to precede the screening of the actual film itself. this is exactly what lonely single people looking for companionship need; a big spotlight shining on their attempts to meet someone. We gotta admit, nothing sets the mood like walking up to a potential lover and saying "Thunderbirds are Go!"
On a serious note, actor/comedian Anthony Anderson, who is known for playing goofy, loud-mouthed and generally annoying characters in film and on television, has been arrested, along with another man, on charges of raping a woman who was an extra on the set of Anderson’s latest film, Hustle and Flow. The extra alleges that Anderson and the other man, crew member Wayne Witherspoon, lured her into the trailer where they proceeded to sexually assault her. Bond will likely be set at $20,000 for each man. Shooting was taking place in Shelby County Correctional Center in Shelby County Tennessee. Ironically, this is the same facility where both men might end up spending a lot of time. You better get used to that, Anthony.
