The New York Post is reporting that the divorce between Disney and Pixar has been put on hold as they attempt reconciliation. The story indicates that Pixar leader Steve Jobs had a wandering eye but after a brief period of philandering, he has come to see that his heart belongs with Michael Eisner after all. This would be the first good news for the studio in calendar year 2004. The source for the New York Post’s scoop is either (depending on who you believe) Rupert Murdoch or democratic vice-presidential candidate Richard Gephardt. The real life C. Montgomery Burns

Behold the innate beauty of having the last laugh. The Associated Press is reporting that Fahrenheit 9/11 is making Republican campaign advisors nervous. As the film’s North American box office receipts approach $100 million, Michael Moore’s documentary appears to have only scratched the surface of its total viewer base. Sony, the upcoming DVD’s distributor, has collated data and received confirmation from a Gallup straw poll. This research indicates that the majority of independent and Republican voters who plan to watch the movie will wait for the title to enter the home video market. Fahrenheit is expected to be one of the biggest selling titles of the final quarter of 2004. Again, this is the movie Disney had but refused to release, thereby forcing the Weinsteins to shop it elsewhere. BOP decided not to let Michael Eisner enjoy the warm glow of his Pixar victory for more than a paragraph.
Tea Leoni has been chased by dinosaurs, pounded by asteroids and seduced by a man nicknamed Spooky. None of this could have prepared her for life’s latest adventure, though. Leoni has been cast as the love interest of the man called Rubber Face, Jim Carrey, in the upcoming Sony release, Fun with Dick and Jane. Leoni replaces Cameron Diaz, who recently dropped out of the picture…presumably because she found an S&M film she felt was a better career choice. Do you think she walks around the house singing the David Duchovny song all day?
