This is So Last Week,
our pop culture week-in-review,
presented in a pleasing quiz form.

Between Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, it might seem to be a no-brainer who the more attractive person is at the moment. Newbie stalker Dawnette Knight holds a minority opinion, though. The somewhat *ahem* unstable woman has taken to writing innumerable threatening letters to Lady Zorro about her relationship with Wall Street. Recently placed in custody, Knight faces charges for her menacing behavior to the star of Traffic, but don’t worry. Knight’s attorney swears that she is a misunderstood woman getting a bad rap. He claims the worst crime his client has ever been accused of committing is killing her ex-boyfriend’s goldfish. The only way this story could have been more perfect is if her ex had a bunny instead. Stay away from my man!

The one on the right is the brains of the operation. Failed presidential candidate Al Sharpton has taken time out of his busy schedule protesting films set in barbershops in order to host a game show. His Spike TV effort, I Hate My Job, will air in the fall. The show will follow the efforts of an octet of men who quit their jobs, thereby beginning a voyage of self-discovery. The goal is for the men to escape the careers at which they had proven failures and find a new life which might offer some success and/or happiness. While there is no truth to the rumor that Michael Eisner will be one of the eight contestants, there is also no disputing the fact that he should be.
Fahrenheit 9/11 fallout continues today. Michael Moore stated in a PBS interview Tuesday night that his record-shattering documentary finished #1 at the box office in every state which voted for President George W. Bush in the 2000 election. He also pokes a sharp stick at critics who tried to ban the film by stating the obvious. “All they did was give more publicity for the film and made more people aware of it. The great thing about our fellow Americans, no matter what their political stripe is, they don't like being told that they can't see something as an adult.” Upon reading his profound statement, the producers of Catwoman immediately offered under-the-table money to any interest group willing to attempt to ban the Halle Berry disaster-in-the-making. This film should be banned, but for taste issues.
