Our world remains a Jurassic one for another week, as the Indominus Rex of blockbusters continues to enjoy its position as the apex predator of summer. It added $82.5 million, bringing its international total to $737.5 million. Combined with its superb domestic take of more than $500 million (and counting), the Colin Trevorrow dino film has a grand total of $1.237 billion. It remains hard to gauge just where Jurassic World will end up in the all-time rankings, but Furious 7's tenure in the number three slot will probably end up being briefer than anyone anticipated.

Fans of Twinkies that spout nonsense were sated this weekend, it seems, as Minions added a handful of territories and was rewarded with $36 million and an overseas total after two weeks of $51.7 million. That's a very solid start for the Despicable Me spinoff, which should have little trouble surpassing the $291.6 million the first film earned back in 2010. It remains to be seen if the appeal of the characters is strong enough to get it to the mighty $602.7 million the sequel managed in 2013, though.

Inside Out continued its slow roll out and managed a third place finish with $26.4 million. The film won't hit most of its major territories until later in the summer, so a slow start should be expected. The $81.5 million the film has earned so far suggests that there is going to be a pretty huge demand for the film, though, especially if the response of audiences abroad is as strong as the domestic one has been.

Hollywood Adventures, a Chinese action-comedy co-produced by Justin Lin, the man who helped turn the Fast and Furious series into the juggernaut it has now become, is fourth with $26 million, most of which came from a solid debut in China.

Ted 2 debuted in a few territories alongside its US opening and earned a decent $20.3 million. The first Ted was a rare example of an American comedy really connecting with a huge international audience, ultimately earning $330.5 million internationally three years ago. It'll be interesting to see if the muted response to the film stateside will be reflected in the film's international performance, or if it manages to retain a decent percentage of that sizable audience.

The Hong Kong action movie SPL 2 continued to do well. After opening last weekend, it added $11 million for a new total of $72 million.

San Andreas is slowing down somewhat, but it's still managing to send out some aftershocks to make sure its presence is felt. The disaster movie added $10.4 million, bringing its overseas total to a very impressive $297.8 million, and its global tally to $439.6 million. This is great news for The Rock, but better news for shifting tectonic plates, which have really struggled to open a film since breaking out with 1974's Earthquake.

Northern Limit Line, a South Korean naval thriller set against the backdrop of the 2002 World Cup, lands in eighth with $8.7 million and a new total of $9.7 million, suggesting that FIFA could probably have benefited from sticking a few battleships into their notorious flop United Passions.

Terminator Genisys opened in a few territories ahead of its US bow and earned $8.3 million. The last attempt to reboot the franchise, 2009's Terminator Salvation, underperformed in the US but managed a solid $246 million overseas. Considering the very mixed response to the film's ads and trailers, this seems like a slightly cautious start for a series that really needs to break out in a big way.

Finally this week we have the Poltergeist remake, which continues to do merely okay. It added $6.6 million, bringing its international total to $39.4 million.
