2011 Academy Awards: Best Dressed

Remember back when they were equally hot?

Penelope Cruz - I seriously hope I look this awesome only weeks after giving birth. Holy moly. Penelope looked stunning and super sexay in her sequined ruby red L'Wren Scott gown. Chopard jewelry, Jimmy Choo shoes and simple hairstyle. Cruz in that ensemble was nearly enough to distract me from the gorgeous Oscar-nominated arm candy she had with her tonight. *Nearly*.
I'd like to give her a Winter's Bone, if you know what I mean.

Jennifer Lawrence - Va-va-voom. That vision of best actress nominee Lawrence in that sexy fire engine red Calvin Klein dress, Chopard earrings and soft 'do is enough to make me want to switch teams. She is by far the night's best-dressed. Just....wow.

Like a rhinestone cowgirl...

Melissa Leo - I know that Leo is currently making a lot of Worst-Dressed lists, but I think she looked wonderful in her white high-collared Marc Bouwer gown with mirror inserts. It looked perfect on her. The relaxed updo added to her elegant look. (Too bad her acceptance speech took a little away from that.)
We're disappointed Mila Kunis wasn't her date.

Natalie Portman - Portman looked absolutely stunning in the plum Marchesa chiffon gown with Swarovski accents, and Jimmy Choo shoes. Most of the attention these days sems to be on Natalie's "baby bump," but that aside, this dress is so very flattering. This was a total win for the Best Actress winner.
She looks ready for Black Swan 2.

Hailee Steinfeld - While I think that Steinfeld's Marchesa princess gown was just okay, she makes my best dressed list for dressing exactly how a 14-year-old should dress. The style is perfect for her and the updo and headband is perfect for someone her age. She looked absolutely adorable.
Jake Gyllenhaal is in this shot, but since he has no personality, we can't see him.

Reese Witherspoon - Although she reminded me a bit of an Austin Powers Barbie doll with the retro ponytail, Reese looked fantastic in her black and white strapless Armani dress. The emerald green jewelry added a little bit of a kick to a style that could have looked old and tired.
