You again.

It's Labor Day weekend, traditionally one of the worst on the calendar. Yes, movies are a 365-day-a-year business, but some release dates are worse than others simply by virtue of other potential activities. In the case of Labor Day, it's the last hurrah for outdoors activities or family trips, while college football is also getting underway.

With no significant new releases, we once again see Angel Has Fallen at the top of the chart. Its $2.9 million Friday represents a 64 percent decline from the previous week. The Gerard Butler film from the fallen series is probably just fine considering its $40 million production cost. It should finish the weekend with about $9.6 million, though I suppose Lionsgate will estimate it at $10 million.

One of the new films of the weekend is Don't Let Go from OTL, a studio you've totally heard of and so have I! Featuring David Oyelowo and produced by Jason Blum, this one just didn't get an ounce of support . After earning $751,000 yesterday, it's looking at $2.1 million at best for the weekend, It'll eventually be forgotten, and it's clear that this was just dumped unceremoniously.

The other one is Bennett's War from Forrest FIlms, released onto 970 venues somehow. It earned $143,00 0 and no one is going to remember it ever.

As far as fun milestones, Good Boys will cross the $50 million mark today, while Hobbs & Shaw would have passed $150 million on Thursday. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is also a $50 million earner.

In better news, IT Chapter 2 releases next weekend. All hail Pennywise, king of the box office.
