The Woman in Black 2 Angel of Death | Top 7 reasons why the writers of BOP should vote for Andy Serkis for Best Actor for their Calvin Awards | |
Clearest Title | The sequel to The Woman in Black. Point. | #7: Because he has been amazing in the past with his stop-motion acting as Caesar and Gollum. HE WAS GOLLUM! |
Best Genre and Rating | Horror
Rated PG-13 for some disturbing and frightening images, and for thematic elements | #6: Because BOP has praised his performances before. Second place Best Supporting Actor in 2003 (Gollum), fifth place for Best Supporting Actor in 2004 (Gollum), and eighth place for Best Actor in 2012 for Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes! |
Cleverest Tagline (out of 5 stars) | People buy old house House is haunted. That’s the plot I don’t need this line | #5: Surely if he got eighth place for lead actor in 2012 for Caesar, this year when Caesar was even more of a lead actor in the film, he can get first place! |
Best Part of Trailer | PROS: You can tell it’s a spooky haunted house film
CONS: But it wasn’t that spooky looking | #4: And isn’t it about time to stop saying that stop-motion acting shouldn’t be considered worthy of acting awards? I mean he is an impressive actor to bring Gollum and Caesar to life! |
Coolest Lead Actor | Jeremy Irvine was the kid in War Horse. Point. | #3: But what about his movie officially campaigning him for Best Supporting actor? First of all, his movie flipped a coin for that decision, and he hasn’t gotten any nominations in the supporting categories. And because he should win Best Actor. |
Best Cast | I don’t recognize anyone else yet. Still gets the point though. | #2: And do we really want to be that website that just goes along with what everyone else is saying for the Best Actor Award. I get it, Keaton, Redmayne, and the other guys we keep hearing about are good, but so is Andy Serkis! |
Best Street Cred For the Production | Director Tom Harper has directed some TV shows. Point. | #1: Because his acting was legitimately amazing and should win when compared to his peers in 2014. |
