New movies are released into theaters every weekend. How do you decide which movie to watch? Some people could pick a movie based on the title (surprisingly, The Princess Diaries, The Basketball Diaries, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid all have different genres). Some people watch trailers (misleading), some people listen to their friends (friends can be idiots), and some people only go to the movies if their Hollywood crush is on the screen (My Top 10: Actresses I have crushed on... #9: Jeri Ryan from Star Trek: Voyager).

More likely than not, each weekend there is a movie that you have never heard of in the theaters. I'll save you the hassle of researching every movie, by comparing the new releases for each weekend in this column. Then, I'll tell you which movie to watch.

For the weekend of June 11th, the movies in wide release are The A-Team and The Karate Kid.

Clearest TitleThis is the exact same title as a 1983-1987 TV show. This is the exact same title as a 1984 film. This is a little weird. Something fishy is going on at the movie theaters this weekend. Each film will split the point for clearest title.
Best Genre
and Rating		Action

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action and violence throughout, language, and smoking. 		Action/Family

Rated PG for bullying, martial arts action violence, and some mild language. 		Watch The A-Team after you watch The Karate Kid, otherwise Karate Kid is just going to seem boring. Each action film will split the point this round.
Cleverest Tagline
(out of 5 stars)		"There is no Plan B"

Clever. Having no Plan B, means the team in the movie is the only shot of achieving something. Yet, it seems more clever because of the Letter "B" and the title's letter "A".

No tagline? Are you serious? What about "Chan and Smith. No the younger Smith."

0/5 stars 		Dear Karate Kid, you were neck and neck with the A-Team. But now the A-team gets the sole point. Come on. Signed, Curt David.
Best Part of Trailer"They are the best and they specialize in the ridiculousness" Quote from trailer. Perfect summary. "It's like Star Wars. You're Yoda and I'm like a Jedi." Quote from trailer. Semi-perfect summary. While I want to see A-Team more, The Karate Kid had a better trailer. It looks cute. Point for the kid.
Coolest Lead ActorBradley Cooper from The Hangover and He's Just Not That Into You. My favorite: He was Will Tippin in Alias. Jackie Chan was in the Rush Hour trilogy and Shanghai Noon. My favorite: He was a voice in Kung Fu Panda. I may have a heterosexual crush on Bradley Cooper. (Actually, I have a crush on anybody from the show Alias). Point for him.
Best Cast MemberLiam Neeson from Taken, Love Actually, and The Phantom Menace. My favorite: The Haunting. Jaden Smith from The Pursuit of Happyness. My favorite: The Karate Kid trailer. Jaden Smith is a charming, cute little kid. He easily takes this point from Mr. Neeson.
Best Street Cred
For the Production		Director and writer Joe Carnahan has also directed and wrote Smokin' Aces, and Pride and Glory. Director Harald Zwart has also directed Agent Cody Banks and The Pink Panther 2. Joe Carnahan is going to win this round and will probably win future rounds now that he has directed The A-Team.


So out of a maximum of 7 points per movie, The A-Team scores 4 points and The Karate Kid scores 3 points.

You may interpret this column for your own movie preferences. For example, if you always wanted to combine the original Karate Kid with The Fresh Prince, watch The Karate Kid. However, if you are still on the fence, please read the following conclusions from the scientific data gathered in this column.

Conclusion 1: On paper, The A-Team is (barely) the movie to watch this weekend.
Conclusion 2: This week, Jeri Ryan can also be seen in a viral potential movie trailer for Mortal Kombat. Check it out.
Conclusion 3: Three Alias stars will make my Top 10 crush list at the beginning of my column. Rachel Nichols from last week, and two others. Don't worry, Bradley Cooper will not be one of the other two.
