What is she, a flapper?

Having won the Head of Household competition following a double eviction week on Big Brother, 75-year-old Jerry had his heart set on evicting one HouseGuest: Dan (you know, the Catholic schoolteacher who Jerry called Judas for going against his word a few weeks back).

The first step, of course, was to nominate Dan for eviction, which Jerry easily took care of. (Keesha would be the second HouseGuest Jerry put on the Chopping Block). Smartly, Jerry next went after Memphis, making a deal with the bartender that the two should plow through the house's competition and take each other to Big Brother's final two.

It was a surprisingly good move for the old man, considering Memphis is a strong competitor and has basically unbreakable ties with Dan. So, if Memphis were to win the Power of Veto competition, he'd stick to his word with Jerry, right?

Uh. No. And unfortunately for the War vet, that's exactly what happened.

On Tuesday, Memphis secured the PoV, which the man ultimately used on Dan (much to Jerry's dismay). Forced to nominate a new HouseGuest, Jerry put Renny on the Chopping Block since she was the lone HouseGuest eligible for nomination.

And the rest is history. On Thursday's live episode, Renny got the axe and the official HouseGuest count gets a little bit smaller once more.

Dan, Jerry, Keesha and Memphis are the only ones left. Ladies and gentlemen, meet your Big Brother final four.

Week 8 at a glance

Head of Household: Jerry
HouseGuests nominated for eviction (pre-veto): Dan and Keesha
Power of Veto winner: Memphis
PoV used on: Dan
HouseGuests nominated for eviction (post-veto): Keesha and Renny
HouseGuest evicted live on Thursday: Renny
Who should have been evicted: Renny
New HoH: Dan
HouseGuests remaining: 4 (Dan, Jerry, Keesha, Memphis)

As I said last week, I would use this space to talk about the remaining HouseGuests and whom I think can take home the $500,000. (Similar to how I conducted week five's analysis). Let's get right to it.

Dan: By earning HoH for the next round of episodes, Dan has the most legit shot at making it to the big dance. Also working in his favor is the fact that he will not have to sit out during the following week's HoH competition. When just three HouseGuests remain for the top prize, everyone competes. Obviously, earning HoH power at the time that he did puts the Catholic schoolteacher at a tremendous advantage.

The other thing Dan has working for him? Memphis. Their alliance is just about as strong as they come. And even though Dan is a character and takes risks at seemingly every turn, I don't see him forfeiting his relationship with Memphis, especially when just four HouseGuests remain.

So the most likely scenario is for Dan to nominate Jerry and Keesha for eviction, with one of those two packing their bags by the end of the week. Dan and Memphis will then be at a two-to-one advantage for the following week's HoH. Dan or Memphis will win it and then evict the remaining HouseGuest (either Jerry or Keesha, whomever is left).

However, even if it all goes according to this outline, there is no way in hell that Dan can win $500,000, the grand prize decided by recently evicted HouseGuests (seven in all). He's just been too evil to Ollie, Michelle, April and others who just left the house. Surely the Jury of Seven, as the group is dubbed, would pick Memphis over Dan any day.

Would Dan sacrifice his alliance with Memphis to go to the final two with a different player? Possibly. But then again, Keesha would win the half million over Dan, and so would Jerry. Dan's snarky game play has kept him in the game, but at the same time it has eliminated his chances of being the season's champion. Instead, he'll have to settle for the $50,000 second place prize.

Jerry: It's been a good run for the old man, but I don't see the War vet hanging around for more than another week. He seriously screwed up the plan when he won HoH over Dan, Keesha, Memphis AND Renny. In a word, it was impressive.

So kudos to him for chipping a little away from their alliance. But it seems that's about all the juice he's got left in him. He'll probably be the next to go, with Keesha following him out the door.

Keesha: To be honest, I'm shocked the Hooters waitress still finds herself in the game. Yes, Dan and Memphis have a quasi-reliable alliance with her. But still, at this stage of the game, it would have been smarter for the pair to knock her off when they had the chance by evicting Keesha in place of 53-year-old Renny on Thursday. Keesha is the obvious stronger player.

Even so, it is what it is. And I'm not complaining either. I so dearly want Keesha to walk away with the money, but I don't see this happening, barring any uncalculated miracles. She'll end up third (or even fourth). Either way, no prize money for her.

Memphis: As I outlined above, the most likely scenario is for Memphis to go with Dan to the final two. Either Jerry or Keesha goes home this week, and then the other will join them the following week.

A two-person alliance is so important at this stage of the game, and one that currently sits with HoH power is even better.

Between Dan and Memphis, the Jury of Seven would undoubtedly choose Memphis. So there, I said it. Barring any unforeseen wildness, Memphis is the champion of Big Brother 10.
